The Lochead Chalets are situated on a private estate on Scotland's beautiful West Coast. They are perfect for couples or small families looking to escape the hustle and bustle, and just relax in the peace and quiet.
Each sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, and enjoys fantastic views out over the loch. They are situated right beside the water, so are perfect for those bringing kayaks etc.
As a guest at Ellary, you'll have unrestricted access to the thousands of acres of walks, woodland and coastline on the estate. Your four-legged friend is very welcome, and will likely have the time of their life!
It is ideal for those keen on photography (including drone photography, as there are plenty of 'out of the way' spaces you can fly in), fishing (permits available), and watching wildlife - red squirrels, deer, otters, seals, badgers, foxes, pine martins and birds of prey (including eagles) are all spotted regularly.
There is also a practice golf course on the estate which guests are very welcome to make use of (free of charge).
We are about half an hour from the nearest town (Lochgilphead), and within half an hour to just over an hour's drive to the various ferries (Portavadie, Islay, Gigha, Mull etc) to explore the hebrides.
If you've got a boat or kayak please bring it - you are welcome to use the harbour free of charge, and if you're lucky you might get to picnic with the resident otters on one of the many small islands!
25% deposit due to secure the booking. Balance due a month before arrival.

The chalets are compact, and ideal for individuals, couples and small families. Each has a double room and a bunk room (full sized single bunks). The comfortable living room has a kitchenette off it, and a large window to enjoy the views from. There is also a shower room. Each has a verandah, perfect for sitting out on, and there is also a private picnic bench and barbecue at each chalet.
The Lodge we stayed at was right on the shore of Loch Caolisport, perfect for casting a line in the hope of a catch any time of day. The first night we stayed the sky was perfectly clear, with a lovely view of the Milky Way arching across the whole sky. Other nights we stayed the weather was changeable, and we visited Lochgilphead and visited the cafe, fishmongers (fantastic scallops), and tackle shop. Another day we drove to Oban, which made a great day out. We found the whole holiday very relaxing and would love to return at some point.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Beautiful scenery, peaceful location ideal for getting away from it all. Lots of walks and good fishing. Staff couldn't have been friendlier. Will definitely be back.
