Our charming stone Provençal house set in 7 acres of vines, olives, fields and woodland oozes tranquility and calm. Lose yourself in the beautiful local village, wallow in the pool or be active in the local lakes and rivers.. You choose!
This is our home and we fell in love with it's rustic charm and quirky layout!
The ground floor comprises a large sitting room, dining room and a small kitchen. There is also a downstairs shower and separate loo.
Upstairs there's a double room and two twin rooms and a shower room with loo.
(our bedroom is also upstairs but it's locked as it's full of our stuff!)
Outside the front of the house is the patio with stone table - perfect for al fresco dining. The table is shaded by mature bay trees and much of the patio is shaded by the large trees out front too. There's a built-in BBQ but please do not use in the summer months as the fire risk is so very high. There is a Weber gas BBQ for use in the summer.
The garden is stunning. There's an olive grove with over 80 olive trees, 2 vineyards (separated by the drive) with over 2500 vines. It's a working vineyard so there will be people working the vines on occasion.
There's also a wooded area and a playing field and then there's another field too. There's a terrace overlooking the pool with a bamboo covered pergola - it's a great place to lounge on the pool furniture.
The pool is 12m x 5m and is approx 1.5m deep throughout. The pool is paved around the edge and then edged with gravel. There are sun loungers and table and chairs.
Dogs are welcome but there is no secure area - we find that our dogs never stray far but please be aware that wild pigs (Sanglier) may roam over the property at times and they can be very dangerous to dogs.
Please do feel free to help yourself to any of the fruit that's ripe when you're there - there's plums, pears, sour cherries, figs, apples and mulberrys - yummy!
There is a 2 bedroom entirely self-contained cottage (the cabanon) in the grounds - it can be rented alongside the house but will not rented seprately during the high season (please do let us know if you would be interested in the renting the cabanon too - it's perfect for a second family if you like to share your holidays with another family). It is situated just inside the front entrance gates and about 60m from the house. (you can see it on the photos).
You can wander freely around the whole property but please take care to look after the vines and olive trees. We harvest the olives every year to make oil and the grapes are bought but the wine producer Sainte Croix La Manuelle to produce one of their very popular red wines (available in the local supermarket). Please don't use anything in the garage except the washing machine - we're still in the process of clearing out some of the old stuff and there's lots of bits stacked up that we'd hate to have fall on you!
