Sunrise Lakes is a well maintained vacation rental community in Clermont, Florida which was completed in 2006, making it one of the newer subdivisions in the Orlando area. Surrounded by attractive woodland and built around a large natural lake, many of the homes here have lake views or overlook the natural wildlife habitats of woods and ponds. Sunrise Lakes offers competitively priced vacation rental accommodations whilst being close to Orlando's Disney World®.
Sunrise Lakes Vacation Rental Homes
Sunrise Lakes is part of the overall community that includes Raintree and Sunrise Pointe. The community is located close to US 27 and Highway 192 and so it's comparatively well located for the attractions and theme parks of Orlando. It's also close to a number of local shops, supermarkets and restaurants, particularly those on Highway 192.
All of the Sunrise Lakes holiday rental villas are detached, air conditioned single family homes and are generally well furnished, well equipped and spacious. All of the properties in the community have their own swimming pools which are protected by a lanai. In addition to the private pools, there's a large communal pool available to both homeowners and guests.
The homes and villas on Sunrise Lakes are both single and two storey properties and range from 3 to 6 bedrooms and are between 1,500 and 3,200 sq.ft in size. Sunrise Lakes is made up of a combination of family residential and individual, often privately owned vacation homes. All homes are decorated and furnished with fully equipped kitchens and should come with all the items needed to enjoy your vacation.
Aside from the communal pool, the community also offers a tennis court and a playground for the kids to enjoy.
When you consider how close the vacation rental homes on Sunset Lakes are to Disney World® and the other Orlando attractions and then look at how keenly priced the rental rates are here, then it's difficult to ignore what's on offer on this community when you're planning an Orlando vacation.
Sunrise Lakes on Youtube
In order to write our Central Disney Area Destination Guide, we visited each of the communities in the Orlando area and in a lot of cases we also recorded a brief video of the community and uploaded it to Youtube. We did this on our visit to Sunrise Lakes, which you can see by clicking below. These videos are fairly short and are simply intended to give an impression of the community and provide potential guests with more of a feel for the neighborhood.

We're probably not revealing any secrets when we say that Florida has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading tourist spots. The Climate at Sunrise Lakes
If you stand on any spot in Florida and you won't be more than 75 miles from the closest beach. As a result, the weather around that spot you're on will be influenced by the proximity of the ocean. So, when you also add in the fact that the Sunshine state is climatically split into two, horizontally midway down the state, it makes the weather patterns even more interesting. That spilt, or division occurs at Lake Okeechobee, in the middle of Florida. Anywhere to the North of the lake, which is where Sunrise Lakes, Clermont is located, the climate is defined as humid subtropical, while areas to the south have a true tropical climate.
So, as Sunrise Lakes is to the north of Lake Okeechobee, the weather will range from warm and relatively pleasant during the non-summer months, through to extremely hot during the period of June thru to September. Florida is called the Sunshine state for good reason, the sun shines on a good number of days each year and the temperature rarely ventures anywhere near 0°C or 32°F, even in the depths of winter. So, if you visit Orlando's theme parks and attractions outside of the summer months, you should have a relatively dry and comfortable experience. But during those hot summer months, it's going to be very hot and very humid most days, with temperatures in June, July and August reaching into the mid 90s F with daily thunderstorms accompanying the heat.
Other Communities to Consider
Sunrise Lakes offers a decent range of vacation rental homes and it's well located for the parks, but we advise you to also check out other similar rental communities and resorts which are often sited within a few miles of Sunrise Lakes and where you might find other properties of interest. While It's not a huge disadvantage, but the Davenport and Clermont communities are further away from most of the attractions, but they are often priced better than vacation rental homes in Kissimmee. In the Davenport/Clerment areas, why not check out Bella Toscana and also, if you're into golf, Highlands Reserve . If you're looking to keep costs down, then we'd suggest looking at Crescent Lakes . Looking at vacation rental communities in Kissimmee, you may want to look at vacation rentals in Emerald Island which is close to Disney and Terra Verde, which again is close to the parks.
If the rental rate is not a major constraint, then we'd adise you to look at Formosa Gardens, or Windsor Hills and Windsor Palms which are both full resorts and so offer more onsite entertainment.
The quality of all of the vacation rental communities around Kissimmee, Davenport and Clermont is very good and the general standard of the homes in them can be exceptional. So, we would suggest that before booking any vacation home; determine your requirements including the intended travel dates and the number of people traveling before contacting as many homeowners as needed. This will allow you to determine which vacation rental homes most closely suit your requirements. Whether it be price, availability, location, size of the property, facilities of the resort or community, etc, all of these should feature in your decision.
Driving to Sunrise Lakes
As the most visited destination in the U.S. and the world's theme park capital, Orlando is the epicenter of tourism activity in the USA. As a result, all major US airlines and a large number of international airlines operate substantial flight schedules into and out of Orlando throughout the year. Orlando is served by two international airports; Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando-Sanford Airport (SFB) which are 30 minutes and one hour's driving time, respectively from Sunrise Lakes.
Most major airlines fly into Orlando International Airport and although sometimes more convenient, Sandford, offers much less choice of routings in and out of Orlando. There are a number of driving routes from Orlando International Airport to Sunrise Lakes, but we generally advise on this one. To reach Sunrise Lakes from Orlando International Airport, take FL-417S towards Disney World® and continue until reaching the Celebration Avenue (exit #2). Keep right to take ramp towards US Hwy-192 in a westerly direction. Once on Hwy 192 W, drive for 6 miles and then turn right onto US27. Continue on US27 for 2 miles and then turn right onto Sunrise Lake Boulevard and Sunrise Lakes can be found straight ahead.
As the journey involves using Highway 192, you should be aware that the 192 is the main tourist thoroughfare of kissimmee and as such offers a lot of entertainment and restaurants.
